Refund & Returns Policy

At The Disengagement Project, we want you to love the product you buy from us! This policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work for our Australian customers, in line with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Sizing & Fit

To help you choose the right fit, measurements are provided in each product description. Please read these carefully before placing your order.

We cannot accept responsibility if your item does not fit due to choosing the wrong size. Orders will not be eligible for returns or refunds if they do not fit, are refused, or are not received because of size issues.

2. Change of Mind

We do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind. Please choose your size and products carefully before ordering.

3. Personalized / Customized Products

Because some of our products are made-to-order and personalized, we cannot offer returns on these items. Your artwork is unique to you, and products are manufactured under demand.

Please note:

Colors of the actual item may slightly differ from advertised images due to lighting or screen displays.

Personalized items cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged unless faulty.

4. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your product is faulty, damaged, or significantly different from its description, ACL gives you the right to a remedy. In this case:

Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order with a description and photos of the issue.

We will offer a repair, replacement, or refund, including return shipping costs.

5. Exchanges

Exchanges are only possible if the item is faulty or damaged.

Size or style exchanges are not available for change-of-mind or personalized products.

6. Refunds

Refunds are processed once the returned item is received and inspected.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Processing may take 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

7. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are non-refundable, except when the product is faulty or damaged.

Customers are responsible for return shipping for items that are faulty but still need to be returned to us for inspection.
